Toussaint Chrestien was a man of the parish of Saint-EustacheW in Paris, the father of Madeleine Chrétien, who married Pierre Chicoine at Montréal in New France in 1670. He was the tenth great-grandfather of Nancy Jane Blanchard (1929–2006), through his daughter Madeleine Chrétien.
He is known from one record. The marriage register of Notre-Dame de Montréal, recording his daughter’s wedding on 20 October 1670, names her as “Magdelayne Chrestien fille de Toussaint Chrestien et de Françoise Bertaute ses père et mère de la paroisse de St Eustache à Paris”. The register does not say whether he was then living. No record of his birth, marriage or death has been found.
