♀Antoinette Besis

Antoinette Besis was the mother of Jean Perodeau, who came from the parish of Montchaude in the diocese of Saintes^W in France and married at Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, on the island of Montréal, in 1731. She was the seventh great-grandmother of Floyd Amatus Delahorne (1922–2014), through her son Jean Perodeau. She and her husband Jean Baptiste Perodeau are known only from their son’s marriage to Angélique Gallien at Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue on 22 January 1731. The act names the groom Jean Baptiste Perodeau, single, of the “PAROISSE DE MONCHAUDE, DIOCESE DE SAINTES EN FRANCE”, son of the late Jean Baptiste Perodeau and of Antoinette Besis, so her husband had died by that date. The records do not show when or where she and her husband were born, married or died. The act is known from the index of the Québec parish registers; the register page itself has not been read.
