♂Guillaume Quintard

Guillaume Quintard was a French master tailor, known only as the father of Michel Quintard, a carter and later tavern-keeper at La Rochelle. He was the tenth great-grandfather of Nancy Jane Blanchard (1929–2006), through his son Michel Quintard.

All that is known of him comes from the Fichier Origine, a register-verified compilation of immigrants’ origins, in its entry for his grandson François Quintal, who emigrated to New France in 1662. The entry records that Michel Quintard was born at Salles-lès-Aulnay, the son of Guillaume Quintard, “maître tailleur d’habits” (a master tailor), and Marguerite Bérard. No register naming Guillaume or Marguerite has been examined, and the dates of their births, marriage and deaths are not known.
