♂Jean Minaud

Jean Minaud (died before 29 October 1678) was the father of Marie Minaud, who married on the Île d’Orléans, in New France, in 1678; he is known from her marriage act. He was the ninth great-grandfather of Floyd Amatus Delahorne (1922–2014), through his daughter Marie Minaud.

His daughter Marie Minaud married Jean Mourier at Ste-Famille on the Île d’Orléans on 29 October 1678. The index of the act writes the groom’s name Morier, describes both as single and of the island, and names the bride’s parents as the late Jean Minaud and Jeanne Caillé. He was therefore dead by the date of the marriage. The dictionary of Cyprien Tanguay^W gives his year of birth as 1632, and gives that his widow, Jeanne Caillé, married Guillaume Dupas. The records read so far do not show when or where he died. The acts of the family are known from Tanguay’s dictionary and the index of the Québec parish registers; the register pages themselves have not been read.
