♂Jean Morier

Jean Morier is known only as a parent named in the marriage of his son Jean Mourier to Marie Minaud at Ste-Famille on the Île d’Orléans, in New France, on 29 October 1678. He was the ninth great-grandfather of Floyd Amatus Delahorne (1922–2014), through his son Jean Mourier (born 1630). The index of the act writes the groom’s name Morier, describes the bride and groom as single and both of the island, and names the groom’s parents as Jean Morier and Anne Caron and the bride’s as the late Jean Minaud and Jeanne Caillé. The dictionary of Cyprien Tanguay^W likewise names the son as a son of Jean and Anne Caron, and gives his year of birth as 1630. The records read so far give no dates or places for Jean Morier and Anne Caron themselves, and the register page of the marriage has not been read.
