♂Pierre Bouchard

Pierre Bouchard was the father of Etienne Bouchard, a surgeon of Mont-Royal, the settlement of Ville-Marie^W, in the 1650s. He was the tenth great-grandfather of Nancy Jane Blanchard (1929–2006), through his son Etienne Bouchard.

Pierre Bouchard and his wife Nicole Charland are known from the marriage of their son. When Etienne Bouchard married Marguerite Boissel at Notre-Dame de Québec on 6 August 1657, the index of the register described him as a surgeon (chirurgien) of Mont-Royal, single, and a son of Pierre Bouchard and Nicole Charland. The index does not say where the couple lived or whether they were still living in 1657. Tanguay’s dictionary also names Etienne as the son of Pierre Bouchard and Nicole Charland, and gives him a birth year of about 1622. Only the index has been read, not the register itself.
