♀Marie Héribert

Marie Héribert was the mother of Marguerite Boissel, who married at Notre-Dame de Québec in 1657. She was the tenth great-grandmother of Nancy Jane Blanchard (1929–2006), through her daughter Marguerite Boissel.

When Marguerite married Etienne Bouchard, a surgeon of Mont-Royal, at Notre-Dame de Québec on 6 August 1657, the index of the register named her parents as Jacques Boissel, written Boesel in the register, and Marie Héribert. Tanguay’s dictionary writes her name as Marie Éripert or Héripel, gives her birth as about 1611, and places her marriage to Jacques Boissel, a butcher at Québec, in 1639; it gives Marguerite’s baptism at Québec on 20 September 1643 and her own burial at Québec on 1 November 1697. The records found so far do not give her parents or her place of origin.
